I'm just teasing mommy!

Finally, a success! I tried for 20 minutes to get a cute shot of Abby to make Valentines Day cards with, and she just kept on giving me silly faces. But, if I do say so myself, this picture takes the cake!

Biter Biscuits =

a big, sticky MESS!!

So Grandma bought Abby some Biter Biscuits to possibly help with the teething. (How long can this last!?) And the conclusion is.......Abby LOVES them. She also enjoys making big sticky messes for us to clean up. (Not so much me right now since I'm not allowed to pick her up per my surgeons instructions.) But, I do get a kick out of watching her make a mess. I might not think it's so funny when I have to clean it up. Oh well, until then we have Grandma!

6 months!

Well, actually yesterday Abby turned 6 months old. (I just didn't feel well enough to post.) Abby is finally growing into her height, and is now perfectly average. Her latest stats are:

15 lbs 3 oz, and 26 in long.

50% for all categories.

Some of her new favorite things include: talking! She said "mama" for the first time last week, and now she won't stop. Any consonant followed by the aaaaa sound. baba, mama, nana, lala, but no dada yet. She loves Applesauce, rice cereal, and squash, but isn't a big fan of the green bean.......yet.

She is so close to getting this mobilization thing down. She will get her legs up under her, and scootch backwards. Keeping my fingers crossed that she'll wait to get going until I can get going too!

The Sock Monster!

So these pics are from a couple of weeks ago, but were just too cute to ignore. Thank you to all of you who have kept us in your thougths and prayers. I am feeling okay, but am finally home from the hospital.

I turned aroud and Abby was eating her socks!

Better late than never.

With all the craziness the past couple of weeks we hadn't had time to give Abby her Christmas present from "Santa." We were able to get it all set up last night, and she had a ball! Why do I think that noisy toys are a good idea? (I guess they are the most fun!)

*I guess I go a little overboard on the videos, but they tend to capture the moment better than a photo. Especially when dealing with a bouncy 5 1/2 month old!

Christmas morning.....a little late!

So these past couple of weeks have literally flown by. We were fortunate enough to be able to spend Christmas in Utah with my family. Abby enjoyed meeting her Uncle Peter, my brother, who I hadn't seen for almost three years! She also met the rest of my extended family.

We also were able to meet up with Gerritt's sister and her family. Abby just LOVED meeting her cousins. She practically jumped out of our arms to see them!

Christmas morning Abby only had eyes for the wrapping paper!
