Vacation?

Do you ever feel like you need a vacation after your vacation? I know that's how I've been feeling the last couple of days. Abby and I got home from Utah Wednesday night, and ever since then we have been bumming around trying to recuperate from the trip.
During the last week of our trip we both got sick. I was sick first, and am feeling better now, but Abby got sick on Sunday and still has a bit of a cold. I've been keeping her hydrated, and she is sleeping tons, so hopefully she'll kick this soon!
Here are a few more pics of our trip....
The weather was so nice that Abby and I went out to enjoy it. And, in case you're wondering, Abby still doesn't like to be on the grass.
Abby and her cuz hitting the chair to make noise. (one of Abby's favorite things to do.)
Abby and her cuz got into lots of mischeif together. Here they are eating Cheerios off the floor after they dumped the box out. Gross I know, but I couldn't help but laugh!
Well, laundry calls! The joys of being home after a vacation!

Weird Weather, and Wild Feathers

Yesterday was quite a fun one here in Utah. Abby and I went to the Tracy Aviary at Liberty Park in Salt Lake. We were invited to go with my best friend Mandy, and her class. Mandy is a special education teacher here. Abby seemed to enjoy herself. The only hard part of the day was the weather. The whole day was a surprise......one minute it would be snowing, then hailing, and the next the sun would be out! Then the whole process would start again. Craziness.

Abby enjoying the outdoors, even though it was a bit cold.

We saw a peacock with his feathers displayed.

Snow at the end of April. A little weird......oh yeah maybe not for Utah.

Spaghetti + Cake = Bath

Day 1 of Abby's and my trip to Utah has been pretty fun. We bummed around this morning with my mom, and sister-in-law shopping, and going out to lunch. Then, this afternoon we drove out to my sister's new house for a birthday party for my niece. She turned two this week. This was a day of firsts for Abby. I rarely give her table food because she is usually not too interested, but I thought I'd give the spaghetti dinner a try. Abby LOVED it!
I'm glad my mom suggested taking her top off. If I hadn't it would have been hard to clean afterwards.
Abby enjoyed the spaghetti so much that I gave her birthday cake too. (Well, minus the frosting.) She and her cousin had tons of fun getting messy with their food so we threw them in the tub!
They had tons of fun sloshing, and splashing in the water! Looks like the remainder of this trip will be full of new foods, and experiences!

9 months, 2 days

Abby is nine months old!(well, on Tuesday.) It can't be true, my baby is growing up too fast.
Abby had her nine month check-up this morning and she is still growing like a weed. Her latest stats are:
Height: 28 1/2 in, 65-70%
Weight: 18lbs 8 oz, 50%
We lucked out today and she is all caught up on immunizations until her 1yr check-up. So, all she had was a blood test to check her iron level. I'm so relieved that we didn't need any shots--it will make the plane trip to Utah tomorrow so much easier. I hope ;-)

Saturday Fun

The weather forecast for today said sunshine and 70! But, this was a guarantee for one day only......TODAY! Tomorrow the rain is suppose to return :-(
So, with that in mind we went on a family outing to the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival about 50 miles north of Seattle. We packed up the car with a picnic lunch and got the heck out of dodge! We had so much fun taking Abby out, and getting out ourselves. Here are some pics from our adventure!

Abby all decked out for the day. Hat: check, Sunscreen: check!

And, Abby still doesn't like grass!
